The active ingredient of citrus aurantium extract, synephrine is often
marketed under the name oxedrine.

Synephrine is a natural weight loss supplement.

Recommended dosage is 100 - 150mg, three times daily, with a maximum
daily intake of 600mg.

At these dosage levels the only reported side effects are rarely
bradycardia (slowing of the heart rate; Ephedrine, the main
constituent of the Ephedra alkaloids, increases the heart rate) and
exacerbation of narrow-angle glaucoma.

As the US government has recently banned Ephedrine, Citrus Aurantium
Extract has become a much more popular choice.
